In the sweltering summer of 2007, the Jerks did something to keep their mind off the heat. They began making a list of their favorite TV shows. The list grew to about 137 shows. We decided to cut the list down to 100 and ranked them. We came up with a pretty nice list, but the heatwave ended and the the list was locked in the Video Jerks Vault, never to be seen again.

Until now! This winter we broke out the list again and cut it down once more. It became a solid list of 50 shows. While it is a ranked list, it is BY NO MEANS a list that tries to suggest what are the GREATEST 50 SHOW OF ALL-TIME. Those lists are almost always terrible and end with some old man crying about Dezi Arnez. The shows on this list usually do not go past 1980 and pretty much all of them are not even the slightest bit dramatic. It is just fifty shows we all collectively love. Here are the great dudes that worked on the list:

  • An artist and Adult Swim historian (Kon)
  • An award winning newspaper writer (Bobo)
  • A guy who may be the funniest man alive (Mr. Adventure)
  • An all around swell guy (London Arbuckle)
  • A former Late Night with Conan O'Brien intern (Hound)
  • A cartoonist and veteran internet humorist (Jixby Phillips)
  • A television major and general goof-off (myself, Mark Riddles)

But this isn't just a LIST, Jerry. Most list are just numbers and short paragraphs. This one will have fun, pictures, videos, gags, and more. It will be the best subjective thing you have ever seen.
