The Matrix Revolutions Review

Written by Doug

After I saw The Matrix Reloaded, I thought it wasn't as good as the first one, but it was OK. The next morning, however, I realized it sucked ass. After some friends of mine saw The Matrix Reloaded, they thought it was even better than the first one, and it took them weeks to realize that it wasn't.

Me and those same guys saw The Matrix Revolutions yesterday. After the movie, they were talking about how they thought it was better than the first two, but I just know that in a couple of weeks they're going to watch the first one again and realize that Revolutions can't eat the first one's shit. After I saw Revolutions I thought it was better than Reloaded. This morning, however, I realized that it's not.

When The Matrix Revolutions starts, Neo is in some train station and he talks to some guy. Meanwhile, Trinity, Morpheus and some other guy talk to the Oracle and then they go somewhere and shoot a bunch of guys. Then they get Neo out of the train station, and a bunch of guys talk about stuff for a few minutes. Then there's a big battle in the dock between a thousand dudes in robot suits and a hundred million squid things that goes nowhere, followed by a fight between Neo and Agent Smith that doesn't make any sense.

The battle in the dock goes on fucking forever. Nothing goddamn happens. The robot suit guys shoot the squid things for like an hour but none of it matters anyway because later some ship comes and kills all the squid things by turning on its EMP or whatever, making the whole boring-ass battle worth shit.

And the fight between Neo and Agent Smith is just retarded. Why only one Agent Smith fought Neo while the other 5,999,999,999 just sit back and watch I'll never know. Okay, when it starts its not so bad, they start fist fighting and shit like they did in the first one. Then all of a sudden they start flying. What the fuck? Since when can Agent Smith fly? Once they start fighting in the air it starts to suck. I couldn't tell whether I was watching a Matrix sequel or an episode of Dragon Ball Z. I was almost expecting Neo to charge up a kamehameha to defeat Smith once and for all, but what they actually did was even worse.

For those of you who have never seen the Matrix, at the end of the first one Neo jumps in Agent Smith and blows him up from the inside, leading the audience to believe that Smith is dead. In Reloaded, however, we find out that Neo somehow "set him free of the system" or some bullshit and that he can now turn people into new Agent Smiths just by touching them. By the end of Revolutions he has turned everyone in the matrix into an Agent Smith. Now, after Neo and Smith fight DBZ-style for a while, Agent Smith basically says "fuck it" and turns Neo into an Agent Smith. Then Neo pulls a Matrix 1 and blows all the Smiths up from the inside, killing them all and stopping the war. Again, what the fuck? Last time he did that it didn't kill Smith, it freed him, so how the hell does it kill him this time? That doesn't make sense.

Well, that's it, then. The Matrix Revolutions is cr-r-rap. Oh well, at least it's not Lord of the Rings.
