Mr. Adobo, I must strongly disagree with you on the subject of the delight romp that is Teen Titans. Teen Titans, or as its known by its legions of fans, TT, shows the future men and women of America that they are not alone in their problems, superheroes are in the same boat. The plots are symbolic, such as the pilot. Haven't we all had guests in our homes who we just want to leave? An even though they all have super powers, they still bicker and raise Kain over pizza. The Teen Titans also exhibit an undying camaraderie, as teammates and as friends. We all have a large cybernetic black men in our lives. Whether it be a best friend, a pet, or your parents. It helps get across lessons about understanding and such. As for the so called cliches, what you call cliches I called time honored tradition. Where would television be if we didn't have these so called "cliches." It might be full of new ideas promoting change or free thought. I don't think any of us want that, give me husbands and wives switching jobs. Hilarious.
You bring up the Superfriends, but what about all the boys and girls who have not had a chance to experience the Superfriends? They'll get that kind of enjoyment out of TT without having to be subjected to that harlot Wonder Woman, what's worse than a scantily clad empowered female who flies around while squatting? Or maybe you want the youths of today, our very future, Mr. Adobo, to be perverted in such a way? You should be crucified for endangering tomorrow. Why can't you let the children have their superhero show that they can relate to? Maybe you've been in situations where you've had to fight off giant meteor babies or whatever Superman fought, but the kids today don't have to worry about that. TT is also a haven for kids, who are the seeds of today and the trees of tomorrow that will bare the fruit of the future, Teen Titans has no over the top violence or excessive bloodshed. They use force in moderation and I'm sure in later episodes they will even be able to talk things out with their foes. Also, Teen Titans is open to all races and walk of life. Now, Mr. Adobo, I hear you cry 'But wait! The Superfriends included Orientals and Indians!' But they were horrible caricatures that belittled the rich history and culture of their backgrounds. TT does not exempt anyone or make funny of them, from the privileged Caucasian, to the space alien, to the jive talking African-American robot hybrid, to the soulless Goth thing.
If you still feel so strongly about Teen Titans let me present you with a quote from a little book you might have heard of: the bible. "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can. The wisdom to know on from the other.
P.S. Fuck you, Becker. Once the polar ice caps melt, Aquaman will reign supreme.
